New 122-room WoodSpring Suites planned for east Montgomery
Reading time: 2 minutes

Montgomery’s hospitality boom is showing no signs of slowing down. A new WoodSpring Suites is planned for the city’s east side, marking one of the capital city’s latest hotel developments.
Commercial activity in the area continues to thrive as developers invest heavily in new lodging options to support Montgomery’s tourism and business travel sectors.
According to city records, a commercial grading permit has been issued for 150 S. Arrowhead Dr. What is currently an empty hayfield, located near two storage facilities right behind Dollar General off Atlanta Highway, is slated to be transformed into the future extended-stay property.

Building permit records show that plans call for a 122-key hotel in east Montgomery. The structure will stand four stories tall, according to commercial real estate firm John Stanley & Associates, which recently updated its property signage from “sale pending” to “sold.”
As a well-known brand under Choice Hotels, WoodSpring Suites specifically caters to extended-stay travelers, business professionals, and long-term guests looking for comfortable, functional multi-night accommodations equipped with in-room kitchens and modern amenities.
