A popular east Montgomery sandwich shop has permanently shut down. Subway, located at 9138 Eastchase Pkwy. Unit 3 recently ceased operations.

Signage has been completely removed from the brick exterior and the space inside is currently being cleared out. The dining room sits empty, while stacked trays and cleared counters are all that remain behind the service line.

Subway relocated to this space just a few years ago after leaving its longtime nearby spot adjacent to the Shell gas station off Chantilly Parkway.

What’s next for Chantilly Corners on Eastchase Parkway?

Subway’s closure is the latest change to the Chantilly Corners shopping center, which is undergoing a major transformation. Earlier this year, grocery anchor Renfroe’s Market closed its storefront. The shopping center’s pylon sign now displays reversed logos for Renfroe’s Market and Adams Drugs

However, new activity is on the horizon for the center. Crunch Fitness is taking over a portion of the vacant space left behind by Renfroe’s Market, with construction and interior renovations underway right now. OurMed, an urgent care center in the same development, also closed its doors earlier this year.
