New Eastchase gym: Crunch Fitness opening 2nd Montgomery location
Reading time: 2 minutes

A prominent east Montgomery shopping center is officially gearing up for its next chapter.
Crunch Fitness has been tapped to move into the high-profile retail space at Chantilly Corners, filling the vacancy left by Renfroe’s Market earlier this year.
Read on for the full scoop on the major gym expansion and what this shift looks like for the Eastchase Parkway corridor.
A new fitness hub at Chantilly Corners

According to leasing documents from The Shopping Center Group, which manages the Eastchase Parkway property, the high-energy gym franchise will only occupy a portion of the massive building.
The remaining space—roughly 26,000 square feet—is currently listed for lease, leaving the door open for another retailer to join the lineup.
This upcoming location marks a local expansion for the brand. It will be the second Crunch Fitness location in the capital city, joining its existing spot on the Eastern Boulevard.
While an estimated opening timeline has not yet been announced, the move is already generating buzz for east Montgomery fitness enthusiasts.
Marking a new era for the east Montgomery plaza

The transformation marks a new era for the shopping center, which has long been a retail staple on the eastern side of town.
Built in the early 2000s, the development originally featured Bruno’s Supermarket as its main anchor. After Bruno’s exited, the large space sat vacant for five years before the locally-owned Renfroe’s Market moved in to revitalize the center in 2014.
Renfroe’s closed its doors at Chantilly Corners earlier this year after it didn’t secure a new lease, paving the way for Crunch Fitness to step in and bring a fresh wave of daily foot traffic to the area.
Looking ahead at the new Eastchase development
While we wait on official build-out timelines and opening dates, the addition of a major fitness anchor is sure to breathe new life into the Eastchase Parkway corridor.
