New Prattville Waffle House slated to open Oct. 21

Scattered, covered and smothered hash browns are just a week away from making a return to a major Prattville corridor.

Waffle House officials have confirmed that its brand-new diner located at 752 E Main St. is slated to open on Wednesday, Oct. 21. However, representatives from the Atlanta-based chain noted that eager breakfast lovers might get lucky, as the restaurant could open a day early.

The completed site showcases the company’s classic aesthetic, featuring the signature brick facade, crimson awnings and the iconic yellow block lettering.

Waffle House replaces former credit union in Prattville

The new restaurant sits on the site of a former MAX Credit Union, right alongside Wing Town, and marks the third Waffle House in Prattville.

Like many newly constructed locations, company officials confirmed the diner will initially operate with temporary daily hours from 7AM- 2PM. Additional operating hours will be phased in gradually as new team members are hired and fully trained.

Iconic diner returns to Prattville’s Main Street

If you are experiencing a bit of déjà vu seeing the iconic yellow sign back in this area, you are not imagining things! Nearly 20 years after closing its doors, the popular 24-hour breakfast brand is making its return to the exact same stretch of road. Waffle House previously operated a diner a few hundred feet away from this new spot, the location where Ellianos Coffee now stands.

When news first surfaced that the company was planning a return to its old stomping grounds, residents were thrilled to see the classic diner make its comeback.

Now, after months of site preparation and ground-up construction, patrons are only days away from sitting in a booth for hot waffles, crispy hash browns and freshly brewed coffee.
