Chick-fil-A is once again expanding its presence in the River Region with its first location in Millbrook. Remarkably, this is the second Chick-fil-A announcement for Elmore County in just over a month, following the recently revealed location in Wetumpka.

According to city and county officials, the new restaurant will join the 17 Springs development just off Interstate 65 at Exit 181 along Highway 14. Officials say an anticipated opening date will be announced as the project moves forward.

The new 5,600-square-foot Chick-fil-A restaurant will feature the brand’s signature drive-thru service, spacious indoor dining and a covered outdoor seating area, officials announced.

“This announcement represents another major milestone for the Marketplace at 17 Springs. Chick-fil-A is one of the most requested restaurants in our community, and we’re thrilled to welcome such a respected brand to Millbrook.”

– Millbrook Mayor Al Kelley

Elmore County Commission Chairman Bart Mercer said the announcement reflects the success of the partnership between the City of Millbrook and Elmore County.

The popular chicken restaurant is the latest to join this fast-growing development. It will join the newly opened Baumhower’s Victory Grille and the recently announced 1220 Cafe.

For the franchise owner, this opening is a homecoming.

“We are excited to bring Chick-fil-A to Millbrook and become part of the exciting growth taking place at the Marketplace at 17 Springs. Our connection to Millbrook runs deep. My wife grew up here and is a graduate of Stanhope Elmore High School, and our family business has been in the area for 26 years. We are grateful to the City of Millbrook, the Elmore County Commission, and everyone who helped make this opportunity possible. We look forward to serving our guests with genuine hospitality and partnering with the community for many years to come.”

– Daniel Grier, Chick-fil-A franchise owner

Several other commercial projects, including hotels, are expected to eventually join the lineup that complements the 17 Springs Sports Complex, which features an 85,000-square-foot fieldhouse, stadium, track and multiple turf and diamond fields.
