Chick-fil-A is officially coming to Wetumpka
Reading time: 2 minutes

After years of local requests, planning and behind-the-scenes recruitment, Chick-fil-A is officially headed to Wetumpka.
The city announced the massive development this week, marking a major milestone for the area’s growing commercial footprint.
Here is what we know about the new location so far.
Prime spot at The Shoppes at Fort Toulouse

The new restaurant has secured a prime piece of real estate. Chick-fil-A will take up a highly visible front-corner spot at The Shoppes at Fort Toulouse, capitalizing on the footprint of the Publix-anchored shopping center.
It joins several well-known brands at the center, which is also preparing for the arrival of drive-thru coffee chain 7 Brew.
Boost for the local economy
The project is the result of a major team effort between Wetumpka’s economic development team, Moore Company Realty and the Crommelin family. Beyond satisfying local cravings, the new development promises some serious economic perks:
- 70+ new jobs created for the local community
- $5M+ in annual sales expected to be generated
- Continued retail confidence from major national brands eyeing Wetumpka’s growth
“For years, our residents have asked to see Chick-fil-A come to Wetumpka, and we’re proud to see that vision becoming a reality. This project is another sign of the positive momentum our community is experiencing…” — Wetumpka Mayor Jerry Willis
What’s next?
The construction timeline and grand opening details are still being finalized. City officials say those additional details will be shared as soon as they become available.
