Eastdale Mall seeks new tenants for empty food court
Reading time: 2 minutes

The food court might be empty right now, but Montgomery’s Eastdale Mall is rolling out the welcome mat for a fresh wave of culinary entrepreneurs.
Mall officials have launched a new leasing push to revitalize the shopping center’s dining scene by displaying flyers throughout the “Courtyard Cafe.” These notices invite entrepreneurs to bring their concept to the heart of the River Region.
Located at 1000 Eastdale Mall off Atlanta Highway, the shopping center is owned by Namdar Realty Group, a privately held commercial real estate investment and management firm. It is anchored by JCPenney, Belk and Dillard’s Clearance Center, while featuring several national inline shops like Foot Locker, Rainbow, Hibbett and City Gear. The shopping mall also hosts popular small businesses such as The Sneaker Forum and Tycoon Apparel.
Following the closure of the mall’s final food court tenant earlier this year, regulars have fondly looked back at past favorites like Chick-fil-A, Chinese Cafe, Subway, Sbarro and Charley’s Philly Steaks. There are roughly a dozen restaurant spaces currently up for grabs.
Transforming a vacant mall food court into new opportunities

The newly posted flyers in Eastdale Mall’s food court include a welcoming message for prospective business owners:
“Whether you specialize in quick bites, global cuisine, sweets or something completely original, we want to hear from you!”
This new leasing push marks a critical turning point for the indoor shopping destination. Filling these empty restaurant spaces represents a major opportunity to bring foot traffic back to the corridors and re-establish the property as a community gathering place.
How to bring your concept to Eastdale Mall

For entrepreneurs, chefs and restaurateurs looking to expand or launch a brand-new storefront in Eastdale Mall, the current vacancy offers a blank slate.
