To access medical cannabis at the new Callie’s Apothecary Montgomery location, individuals must navigate a specific certification and registration system managed by the state.

Here is how the process is broken down:

  • Get a physician’s recommendation: A recommendation for the use of medical cannabis must come from a registered certifying physician. This physician must be actively approved by both the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners and the Alabama Medical Cannabis Commission (AMCC).
  • Check the approved Doctor List: A current list of dual-approved, registered certifying physicians is available directly through the AMCC website.
  • Register with the AMCC Portal: Patients, caregivers, and certified physicians must all create accounts and register through the official state portal.

Step-by-step online registration instructions are available through the AMCC Portal to guide you through creating an account, whether you are registering as a patient, a caregiver or a medical professional.
