Reading time: 2 minutes

Myrtle Tree Deli in Wetumpka has announced it will close later this month after a short but incredible run.
Located at 4041 US-231 S in The Village Centre alongside several other local shops, the business held its grand opening celebration about eight months ago on Feb. 16. Despite being relatively new to the area, the deli quickly captured the hearts of locals, maintaining a stellar and rare 5.0 rating on its Google profile thanks to its welcoming atmosphere and exceptional comfort food.
Wetumpka sandwich shop prepares for final weeks

Known for a menu featuring classics like the Reuben, Philly cheesesteak and signature house-made favorites such as chicken salad, pimento cheese and tuna salad, the shop became a beloved neighborhood staple.
Sharing the news with loyal customers, owner Stacy Mustin released a heartfelt farewell statement about the upcoming closure:
“After a lot of prayer, thought, and many emotions, I have made the difficult decision to close Myrtle Tree Deli. Our last day of operation will be October 30, 2026. This is not an easy announcement to make. Myrtle Tree Deli has been so much more than a business to me. It has been a dream, a place where people gathered, shared meals, laughed, prayed, made memories, and became friends. To our customers — THANK YOU. Thank you for every sandwich, salad, bowl of soup, piece of cake, catering order, kind word, hug, prayer, and encouraging conversation.”
