Vicki’s Lunch Van in Montgomery is once again receiving major national praise, solidifying its place as a legendary local culinary landmark. This time, Business Insider named the beloved eatery the absolute best burger spot in Alabama.
The website highlighted the mouthwatering appeal of the local favorite, noting that the burger, often hailed as the king of lunch foods, features a wonderfully crisp char paired with an irresistibly juicy interior.
From a mobile trailer to a Montgomery staple
The popular restaurant has quite a history, having originally started out of a mobile trailer in 2003. Today, hungry patrons can visit its permanent storefront located at 106 Coliseum Blvd. Vicki’s Lunch Van was originally launched by its pioneering longtime owner, Vicki Lammon, who sadly passed away in February at age 70, leaving behind an incredible comfort-food legacy.
This recent nod comes on the heels of another major achievement after Foodie.com also ranked the Montgomery restaurant as Alabama’s top burger joint earlier this year.
