Philadelphia’s Independence Day celebrations are going to have a splash of Alabama flavor this weekend.

The Pride of Prattville marching band is headed to the City of Brotherly Love to perform in a pair of the city’s America 250 parades this weekend. They’re joining Independence, one of Auburn University’s bald eagles, in representing our state on the national stage.

“The Pride of Prattville will make history as the only marching band from Alabama selected to perform in these patriotic parades, proudly representing Prattville, Autauga County, and the great State of Alabama. Their dedication, talent, and commitment to excellence have earned them a place on one of the nation’s biggest stages, and our entire community couldn’t be prouder.”
