
Big Bad Breakfast recently opened in Montgomery’s historic Old Cloverdale neighborhood, bringing its signature biscuits, breakfast skillets loaded with eggs, meats and cheese and more to the new 11,000-square-foot Cloverdale Village, a redevelopment project enlivening Fairview Avenue. The eatery is the first tenant to open in Cloverdale Village.
This Big Bad Breakfast is the capital city’s first; the Oxford-Mississippi-based chain has other Alabama locations in Birmingham, Florence, Mobile and Tuscaloosa.

The restaurant’s emphasis on quality ingredients points back to its chef roots: It was founded by James-Beard-award-winning chef John Currence of Oxford, Mississippi.

A combo wine bar, wine shop, coffee shop and bookstore, House of Alchemy is set to open sometime later this year just down the street from Big Bad Breakfast.
And Cloverdale Creamery, promising a “taste of joy” via hand-scooped ice cream, is also scheduled to open in the coming months in Cloverdale Village.
