New Super Wings coming to Shorter, replacing former Burger King
Reading time: 2 minutes

A new dining option is on its way to replace a long-closed fast-food space in the town of Shorter. Super Wings will occupy the former Burger King building at 395 Main St., bringing fresh energy to the area.
The restaurant is located just off Interstate 85 at Exit 22, alongside other eateries, fuel centers and lodging, directly across from VictoryLand Casino.
What to expect from Super Wings in Shorter

Super Wings, which appears to be a new local brand, is expected to arrive nearly three years after the previous Burger King ceased operations.
Work is already underway to renovate the property, which includes removing the previous tenant’s signage and decor. The site also features capacity for double drive-thru lanes to accommodate travelers and locals alike.
To get the building ready, a representative working on-site told Montgomery UP that the entire kitchen area is being completely overhauled with brand-new equipment.
While a full menu has not yet been revealed, patrons can likely expect a variety of flavorful chicken wing options, along with other quick-service favorites like burgers and fries.

What we know about the owners of the new Shorter restaurant

According to records with the Macon County Revenue Commission, the property sold for $736,000 in August and is associated with POS Properties LLC. The nearby Pike Road-based company owns several business ventures, including area gas stations, American Deli locations and a multi-unit agreement with Barberitos. POS recently opened Teriyaki Madness and Barberitos locations in the Pike Road area.
An official opening timeline has not yet been revealed. We’ll keep you updated as we learn when Super Wings will begin welcoming Shorter residents or visitors.
