New soul food spot: Soul Revival opens in Pine Level

Soul Revival, a popular soul food restaurant, is now open in the town of Pine Level.

The ribbon was cut and customers were officially welcomed in on Monday, Oct. 12. The grand opening also marked the first-ever ribbon-cutting for the town of Pine Level, which was officially incorporated in Dec. 2023.

Crowds of supporters turned out for the highly anticipated event, celebrating the milestone for both the business and the community.

The restaurant is located at 1665 Highway 31, just off Interstate 65 at exit 186.

While Soul Revival brings a fresh new dining spot to the area, the concept is well known to local food lovers. The business, started by owner and chef Nieves Anderson, originally got its start in nearby Prattville in 2022. After a brief hiatus, the business is back and has blossomed into a full-service restaurant, catering service and event venue space.

What’s on the menu at Soul Revival in Pine Level

The kitchen at Soul Revival offers a rotating daily menu featuring a choice of meat paired with two or three sides.

Rotating menu staples include:

  • Honey pepper fried chicken
  • Smothered pork chops
  • Meatloaf
  • Slow-cooked oxtails

Paired with classic homemade side items like mac & cheese, candied yams, mashed potatoes, and baked beans, guests are guaranteed a hearty, comforting meal every visit.

In addition to the daily offerings, everyday menu items include:

  • Fried gizzards and liver
  • Hand-breaded chicken tenders
  • Cheeseburgers
  • Fried pickle basket
  • Fried green tomatoes basket
