New potential: What to know about the $3.7M sale of east Montgomery’s Somerset Shoppes

If you’ve ever stopped for lunch at Martha’s Place or treated yourself to a spa day on Atlanta Highway, you know Somerset Shoppes. This popular east Montgomery shopping hub just sold for $3.7 million, and big plans are in the works for its future.

The 27,250-square-foot center was recently acquired by Prudent Growth Partners, LLC, a North Carolina-based real estate firm looking to bring fresh energy (and new tenants!) to the area.

Here is what you’ll find at Somerset Shoppes today

Somerset Shoppes has been an east Montgomery neighborhood staple since opening in 2003. The center benefits from high-traffic visibility along Atlanta Highway, with over 22,000 drivers passing daily, according to a news release detailing the sale.

Currently sitting at 85% occupancy, the retail center is home to nine local spots that Montgomery residents know and love, including:

  • Martha’s Place
  • Latitudes Salon & Spa
  • Body Serene Nails & Spa
  • J&T Acupressure
  • Southern Muscle & Fitness

Surrounded by established residential communities and nearby major retailers like Walmart and Aldi, the center benefits from steady daily customer traffic.

So, what does this new $3.7M deal mean for your everyday shopping runs?

The new owners at Prudent Growth Partners plan to actively manage the Somerset Shoppes, with their eyes set on filling two vacant end-cap spaces totaling 4,000 square feet. That means new shopping, service or dining options could be heading to the area soon.
