New Manna House center launches to expand Montgomery crisis support
Reading time: 2 minutes

The Manna House is not just a kitchen; it’s a brand-new community hub built to provide 1,000 hot, nutritious meals a day to those in need. This week, the facility officially opens its doors in Montgomery.
Operated by The Mercy House and Ministry About People organizations, the Manna House will serve as a lifeline for families facing food insecurity in Montgomery.
What is Manna House’s purpose?

Equipped with an extensive industrial kitchen and large walk-in freezer, the facility will dramatically scale local food distributions from the 500 meals that The Mercy House could provide in a day to 1,000 meals.
In addition to preparing meals, the Manna House functions as a central storage hub, delivering food out to various partner agencies.
The facility will also serve as a place to get food prepared when natural disasters strike the areas close by.
