Montgomery UP is now open for business.

Our newest media outlet officially launched in Montgomery on Thursday, May 21. The brand is the new mobile, modern media covering exciting + positive news across the River Region.

The Montgomery Regional Chamber of Commerce was on hand to celebrate the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Hilltop Public House.

“Our mission is to serve the greater Montgomery area with uplifting and resourceful news. We will cover business openings, events, activities, arts, education and ways to connect. We don’t cover crime or politics. We can’t wait to celebrate all of the gems of the area including the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Montgomery Whitewater, museums, the Riverwalk area and hundreds of other cool spots.”

“I am thrilled to join the team launching Montgomery UP! There’s an appetite for positive developments in this area, and I’m ready to hit the ground running to share the stories that make our community thrive.”

Montgomery UP joins a network of media brands under the same ownership including Bham Now, Hville Blast, Mobile Bay Now and The Bama Buzz. Together, these brands serve over 1 million Alabamians including 500K+ in the Greater Birmingham area alone.

“The Montgomery region deserves recognition for the rich lifestyle, business, and entertainment it offers. The Cloverdale area, for example, is a charming neighborhood with excellent restaurants, historic homes and boasts the state’s oldest continuous movie theatre, The Capri.”
