Though MONTGOMERY UP is a new brand for the River Region, the team behind it has been covering Alabama for a decade. It all started 10 years ago when our founder, Cindy Martin, noticed the need for a fresh approach to sharing stories. She was the founding CEO of AL.com in 1997 and served in that role until 2013.
