Montgomery set to welcome 2026 Diamond Youth Baseball Regional World Series

Big news for River Region sports fans — 32 teams are coming to Montgomery next week for the 2026 Diamond Youth Baseball Regional World Series.

The week-long tournament brings teams from across the Southeast to Alabama’s capital city, generating an estimated 1,100 hotel room nights while showcasing Montgomery’s outstanding sports facilities and hospitality, according to Experience Montgomery.

More than 500 players and coaches will travel from Texas, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana and across Alabama, including two local teams qualifying to compete on their hometown stage.

Opening ceremonies begin Wednesday, July 15, at 3:30PM at Cramton Bowl. Throughout the week, visiting families will explore local attractions, including a special trip to a Montgomery Biscuits game on Friday, July 17.

The event is a collaborative effort between the City of Montgomery, Montgomery Parks and Recreation, Diamond Youth Baseball and Experience Montgomery to boost regional economic development.
