The City of Montgomery has launched a citywide donation campaign benefiting survivors of domestic violence and families seeking support services in the River Region.

Called “Montgomery Cares: Hope & Healing Drive” the campaign coincides with Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Goal: Assemble 200 care bags

The donation campaign began October 20 and runs through November 11. The city is encouraging city employees, residents, businesses, faith-based organizations, and community partners to donate essential personal care and hygiene products that will be used to assemble 200 care bags for two local organizations serving individuals and families impacted by domestic violence.

The City aims to provide:

“Montgomery Cares reflects the compassion and generosity of our community. By coming together to donate everyday essentials, we can help provide comfort, dignity, and hope to individuals and families on their journey toward safety, healing, and stability.”

Montgomery Mayor Steven L. Reed
