Midtown Dog Park: Get a sneak peek of Montgomery’s new pup destination Nov. 1

Midtown Montgomery is getting a new dedicated space for local four-legged friends. Midtown Dog Park will soon take shape at 1001 Felder Ave, giving neighborhood pets and their owners a puppy loving gathering place in the heart of Old Cloverdale.

For more than a decade, the site has sat as an empty lot. Now, community organizers are ready to breathe new life into the property, transforming the long-vacant space into a functional, beautifully-designed neighborhood greenspace tailored specifically for canine play and socialization.

What to expect at the new Midtown Dog Park preview

Ahead of the dog park’s official opening, organizers are honoring National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week by welcoming the community to the property on Sunday, Nov. 1, from 2PM–4PM. The gathering serves as both a full plan unveiling and the official fundraising kickoff for the future Midtown Dog Park.

During the event, organizers will share detailed design renderings, layout plans and site vision. Attendees will learn what the facility will look like once complete, as well as opportunities for community members to become Midtown Dog Park founders.

While the primary focus of the afternoon remains on unveiling the future Midtown Dog Park, attendees can also enjoy a variety of pet-focused vendor booths and community services.

The event will also feature:

• Adoptable dogs + puppies
• Spay + neuter information
• Representatives from local veterinarians, doggy daycares, groomers + other dog-friendly businesses

Building a dedicated neighborhood amenity requires strong community backing. The Midtown Dog Park preview event on Nov. 1 offers Montgomery residents a firsthand look at how the site will transition from an unused greenspace into a thriving community asset.

If you plan to attend the preview event with your furry companions, please remember that all pets must remain securely leashed throughout the afternoon.
