Authentic Mexican eatery Tortilleria Guerrero is expanding with a second location in the capital city.
The popular business recently announced on social media that its second spot will be located at 2360 E. South Blvd., next door to O’Reilly Auto Parts.
The expansion will bring the restaurant’s signature menu and authentic flavors closer to residents on the south side of town.
Tortilleria Guerrero coming to Montgomery’s E. South Blvd
If you have long traveled along this busy stretch of the Boulevard, you likely remember this building. The location was the longtime home of Hong Kong Buffet and later served as a jewelry and pawn store before sitting vacant for a few years.
Now, this commercial spot is getting a new chapter. While an official opening date for Tortilleria Guerrero has not yet been announced, work on the transformation is expected to start soon: building permits for internal renovations were issued over the summer.
What to expect at Tortilleria Guerrero
The original Tortilleria Guerrero in Montgomery opened a few years ago in the Capitol Parkway Shopping Center, located at 1711 Upper Wetumpka Rd. Since then, it has built a devoted following for its authentic culinary offerings.
Locals know and love Tortilleria Guerrero for its menu highlights, including:
- Freshly made tortillas
- Wood-fired grilled meats
- Homemade salsas
- BBQ pork ribs
- Beef brisket with chilies + roasted onions
This new establishment will give patrons another choice to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine. Whether you are grabbing tacos on your lunch break or bringing home fresh tortillas for family dinner, there will soon be another spot to add to your dining rotation.
