One of the most popular lunch stops in Montgomery recently received some national attention.
Tasting Table named the 13 Best Buffets in the U.S. under $25 and Martha’s Place made the cut.
The Atlanta Highway staple was opened by Montgomery native Martha Hawkins and has long gotten recognition from high-profile athletes, musicians, activists, publications and more.

Martha’s Place Buffet and Catering
While there might be some small tweaks to the menu or daily specials available, you can expect to find the usual favorites along the buffet line including:
- Fried chicken
- Fried fish
- Liver
- Collard greens
- Okra
- Black-eye peas
- Mac and cheese
But you’ll have to be careful at this buffet as you will want to save some room for dessert, especially the banana pudding and coconut cake.

The buffet costs just $15 at lunch and $16 at dinner but there are discounts for children, seniors and active military members.
