Marion Community Bank is set to relocate its only capital city branch, but customers won’t have to look very far to find it. The east Montgomery financial institution will leave its current space inside the Halcyon Pointe office complex for a brand-new, standalone branch on Chantilly Parkway in the town of Pike Road.

The bank is relocating one exit down on Interstate 85, moving from Exit 9 to Exit 11.

An exact opening date has not yet been announced, but bank leaders say the big move will take place sometime in mid-July.

The Montgomery branch originally opened its doors in 2021. According to the bank’s website, it has historically been one of the institution’s smallest locations. However, the move to Pike Road is about to change that entirely.

“This move allows us to offer full-service branch support right here in Pike Road, while still conveniently serving our Montgomery customers as well.”

The upcoming location will mark a historic milestone as the bank’s first-ever two-story facility. This upgrade will allow for significantly expanded customer services, including:

  • A standalone building
  • A dedicated drive-thru ATM
  • 2 convenient drive-thru banking lanes

The now 92-year-old Marion Community Bank first began expanding outward from its home footprint in 2008. Today, it has seven locations across central and west Alabama, including its other River Region branch in Wetumpka.
