An opening date is locked in for Luna de Mexico, a brand-new authentic Mexican restaurant set to debut in downtown Montgomery.
Located at 79-A Commerce St., the highly anticipated restaurant opens to the public on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026. The new eatery will be open daily from 10AM-11PM.
This exciting addition brings fresh flavors and high energy to the heart of the city’s downtown culinary scene, offering locals and visitors a brand-new space to gather, celebrate and enjoy great food.

A look inside downtown Montgomery’s new Mexican restaurant Luna de Mexico
We got a sneak peek inside Luna de Mexico, which blends design elements from previous tenants with new touches. The restaurant showcases a vibrant interior with lime-green walls, colorful decorative plates, a bottle chandelier above the bar and rustic wooden accents.
The eclectic design also incorporates purple walls, multi-colored glass-blown fixtures hanging from the ceiling and cozy booth seating designed to give diners a welcoming visual experience.
