Effectual Home Care brings new senior services to Millbrook
Reading time: 2 minutes

There’s a new resource for seniors in the River Region as the ribbon has officially been cut for Effectual Home Care in Millbrook.
A large group of family, friends and community members gathered Tuesday morning at the Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce to pledge their support. Located at 4848 Main St., Suite M, the business officially launched earlier this spring to provide compassionate in-home care to local residents.
Kimberly McCants turns memory into community support

The inspiration behind the business stems from a deeply personal story of family and dedication.
“This day is special, and the reason for me establishing this business is because of my parents. Today marks six years since my dad passed. When he got sick and had dementia, my sister was able to stay at home and take care of my parents, but I knew she needed people to come in and help with day-to-day things. That’s when I had the desire and the passion to one day open up my home care business—to be able to go and assist people in the comfort of their own home and not put them in a nursing home or facility.”
— Kimberly McCants, Founder
“The story of how Effectual Home Care came to be is incredibly inspiring. To see that faith lived out today with all of you is really good for my heart.”
— Davis Wilder, Membership Coordinator with Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce
