
Diageo North America is officially operational in Montgomery as the company recently celebrated the opening of a 360,000-square foot manufacturing + warehouse facility.
The $415 million project brings a new premium alcohol factory to the capital city.

Diageo Montgomery
The new facility is officially located in Hope Hull, a few miles south of Montgomery. The location will employ around 100 full-time members and supported roughly 750 jobs during the construction process.
Diageo Montgomery operations will feature a variety of manufacturing capabilities to enhance efficiency while reducing environmental impact. These include:
- 5 on‑site automated guided vehicles to support lower‑carbon operations
- Advanced technology in high‑speed bottling lines to enhance rinsing and inspection capabilities
- Energy‑efficient infrastructure heated by electric boilers for sanitation and bottle‑filling operations
- Advanced water and energy metering technology

Beyond job creation, Diageo has also invested in the next generation of leaders across the state.
As part of its broader commitment to supporting Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Minority‑Serving Institutions (MSIs), Diageo has invested $750,000 across Alabama A&M, Alabama State and Tuskegee, providing scholarships and financial support to students and helping strengthen pathways to future career opportunities.
