Before its doors officially open to the public, we caught up with the busy team during their final prep days to give you a first look at the menu and the vibrant new interior.

Founded in Dearborn, Michigan, in 2024, Bora Bora Smoothie Cafe was built with a mission: to deliver a refreshed tropical experience of the islands to neighborhoods across America. The brand prides itself on the belief that healthy food should never compromise on taste. This is evident in their recipes, which feature real fruit without artificial flavors or syrups.

While “Smoothie Cafe” is in the name, the offerings go far beyond drinks. This new restaurant serves up a versatile menu:

  • Smoothies
  • Waffles
  • Crepes
  • Crafted breakfast + lunch sandwiches
  • Acai bowls (featuring premium Brazilian acai and superfood toppings)
  • Croffles (the croissant-waffle hybrid taking the world by storm)
  • Coffee
  • Ice cream

We were lucky enough to try a popular fruit blend during our visit: the Piña Colada smoothie. This refreshing drink blends pineapple, mango, coconut and banana. It boasts a perfectly smooth, creamy consistency and a vibrant, balanced flavor that captures the brand’s promise of a tropical escape in Montgomery.

The interior of Bora Bora Smoothie Cafe is modern, inviting and mirrors the tropical island theme. Stepping inside immediately sets a bright, relaxed tone.

The space features clean lines, a mix of natural textures like woven pendant lights, and vibrant accents. We especially loved the custom wall mural, which displays the recognizable “Bora Bora” logo featuring a cartoon pineapple character, adding personality to the space.

There are distinct framed posters highlighting the brand’s story and its location in Montgomery, Alabama. This thoughtful design truly makes a visit feel like a tropical escape in Montgomery.
