Board & Brush closing Montgomery studio soon: What to know

A beloved spot for local crafters and DIY lovers is closing its doors in Montgomery. Board & Brush Creative Studio announced the upcoming closure of its creative studio on social media on Wednesday, Sept. 2, prompting many to reflect on years of community crafting.
While Board & Brush operates dozens of locations across the country, this is the brand’s sole studio in Alabama. Located at 7236 Halcyon Park Dr., the creative studio will hold its final public workshop on Wednesday, Sept. 30. Customers holding rebook codes, store credits or gift certificates are encouraged to reach out to studio management as soon as possible via email or phone to review available options before operations wrap up.
Saying goodbye to a River Region DIY favorite
Throughout its time in the capital city, the Board & Brush studio has offered hands-on wood-sign workshops, date-night events and family gatherings. Reflecting on their journey, the owners shared a touching statement with their patrons:
“Our hope was always to provide a welcoming creative space where people could unwind, connect, and make something beautiful. Our community needs positive connections, and we hope Board & Brush gave people across the River Region a place where they felt comfortable, inspired, and welcome.”
If you can’t make it to an in-person session before the end of the month, the studio is still offering premade signs, porch decor and “DIY @Home Kits” for purchase in-store or through its online shop.

While this chapter is coming to an end, the Board & Brush space may still have a future.
