Biscuits set new league record with 8 home runs in one game

Austin Overn hit the first pitch of the game over the right field wall in Columbus, setting the tone for a record-breaking win for the Montgomery Biscuits Sunday afternoon.
Overn was one of six players to go deep in an 18-10 victory for the Biscuits. Montgomery’s eight total home runs set a new Southern League single-game record.
The six players to hit a home run included:
- Austin Overn (2)
- Jadher Areinamo (2)
- Jhon Diaz
- Cooper Kinney
- Kenny Piper
- Will Simpson
The win extended Montgomery’s winning streak to three games, pushing them to first place in the South division.
Montgomery Biscuits
The Biscuits are back into first place after winning five of six games in Columbus. Now, they are headed back to DABOS Park to play the North division leader Chattanooga Lookouts.
