Barberitos to open new location in Pike Road

Popular fast-casual chain Barberitos is opening a new restaurant in Pike Road, marking its third location in the River Region.
Here is everything we know about the upcoming spot, from its location and menu to the growing development surrounding it.
Where to find Barberitos in Pike Road
The new restaurant will be located at 12718 US Highway 80 E inside Heritage Plaza, a new commercial development serving the rapidly growing eastern Montgomery County area. Drivers can find the complex situated just off Interstate 85 at Exit 16 (Waugh/Pike Road).
Interestingly, the address dynamics in this brand-new strip center come with a fun municipal quirk. Barberitos’ newly opened next-door neighbor, Teriyaki Madness, uses an official Montgomery street address, despite both businesses sharing the same building along the Highway 80 corridor. Neighboring suites can end up with different mailing cities when a building sits along a boundary between two postal routes.
While an official opening timeline has not yet been announced, active work is underway on the site to prepare the space. Once open, the location will feature options for take-out, indoor dine-in and outdoor patio seating.
According to online commercial real estate listings, Heritage Plaza is just getting started. The shopping center is set to expand further with several additional, yet-to-be-named retail shops slated for the development.
What’s on the menu at Barberitos in Pike Road?
Guests visiting the Barberitos location in Pike Road can look forward to the brand’s signature, farm-fresh Southwestern staples cooked daily, including:
- Made-to-order Burritos & Bowls: Packed with grilled chicken, steak, or tofu, plus cilantro-lime rice, beans and fresh toppings
- Handcrafted Tacos & Quesadillas: Loaded with melted cheese, proteins and house seasonings
- Loaded Nachos & Fresh Salsas: Built on chips fried fresh in-house daily alongside handcrafted guacamole and dip options
This new addition builds on the chain’s strong momentum across central Alabama. The first area location opened in Wetumpka last spring, followed shortly by a second spot in Prattville last summer.
