Alabama’s surplus property auction runs through May 24

The Surplus Property Division of the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) has started its quarterly online auction which will run until May 24.
After property is held for a certain period of time, it becomes available to be sold to the public. Items are sold through online public auctions via GovDeals.com (state property) or GSA Auctions (federal property).
The items include:
- Cars
- Boats
- Tools
- Trailers
- Computers
- Furniture
- Office equipment
- Gym equipment

What you need to know

The state says it will be each buyer’s responsibility to attend public viewing + inspections from 8AM-3PM, Wednesday-Friday. Some of the property will be previously use, salvaged for parts or have other known defects but all items are sold as is without any warranty or guarantees.
Buyers are also responsible for picking up all items whether its personally or hiring a third party to pick up.
All payment arrangements are made through GovDeals.com. Purchases will only be released upon receipt of payment as specified.
Buyers will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary including:
- Paperwork
- Shrink wrapping
- Packing
- Loading
- Shipping
- Transportation.
Pick up times run from 8AM-2:30PM on the following days:
- May 26-29, 2026
- June 2-5, 2026
- June 8-12, 2026
