Reading time: 2 minutes

Alabama State University has moved its homecoming game against Florida A&M due to this weekend’s impending storm threat.
The matchup, which traditionally anchors a vibrant week of campus celebrations, will now be played on Friday, Oct. 9, with kickoff slated for 11AM at ASU Stadium.
University officials announced that all other related homecoming events scheduled to take place between Friday and Sunday have also been postponed or adjusted as safety precautions are put into place. Updated dates and times for those auxiliary campus activities and gatherings were not immediately available as the administration monitors the developing weather patterns.
ASU moves homecoming events as Tropical Storm Isaias looms

The decision to shift the game schedule comes as local forecasts warn of severe weather conditions approaching Central Alabama over the weekend, driven by the formation of Tropical Storm Isaias in the Gulf, which is widely expected to intensify into a hurricane before making landfall along the Gulf Coast.
“The safety and well-being of Hornet Nation remain our highest priority,” university representatives stated in a release confirming the schedule adjustment.
What ASU students + fans need to know

Ticketing information and updated schedules for surrounding alumni events are expected to be released via official university communication channels as they are finalized.
Fans planning to travel to Montgomery for the festivities are encouraged to monitor announcements closely and make necessary adjustments to their travel itineraries.
